Campvana Terminology


An attendee is an individual registered or participating in a program and must be associated with a family profile.
Contact is a feature allowing an organization to track communications with attendees, staff, donors or families.
A donor is an individual that gifts a monetary sum to the organization and must be associated with a family profile.
A person to contact in case of an emergency for the associated people. An emergency contact does not participate in your organization and does not appear in a family profile.
A family profile may consist of one or all of the following: attendees, staff, donors and family members.
A family member is a member of a family profile but does not donate money to, work at, or attend an organization's programs.
A group consists of staff and attendees and is associated with a program session.
An organization is the main group which has associated attendees, donors, families, programs, program sessions, staff, and user accounts.
A registered account on Campvana associated with a single organization. The organization administrator has access to all the Campvana features for the associated organization and manages the organization's information and billing. Additionally, the organization administrator can add or remove user accounts from the organization
A registered account on Campvana associated with a single organization. The organization editor has access to all the Campvana features for the associated organization excluding the organization management dashboard which includes billing and organization user management.
A program is a collection of similar, scheduled activities or events through an organization. These activities or events are represented by a program session.
A program session is the specific occurrence of a program over a period of time. A program session can have associated costs and discounts. A program session can have closures or holidays. Attendance is associated with a program session, and registration is associated with one or more program sessions.
Registration information is associated with a program and describes the registration process for that program.
A member of the staff is an individual employed by the organization and must be associated with a family profile.
A registered account on Campvana that is associated with an organization. A user account can be either an administrator, editor, or member.
An agreement between an attendee and the organization to allow participation in a given program session releasing the organization from liability.
A registered account on Campvana associated with a single organization. An organization member can view most of an organization's information excluding the organization management dashboard. An organization member can only edit attendance and staff clock in and out.
